I try to donate platelets every couple of weeks and the staff at the Evans location are always friendly and professional during my visit. I appreciate that they are very skilled at their job and I have never had a problem while I was giving. If you can give, I recommend that you give local at Shepard Community Blood Centers.

Without question I love donating at this location because of the staff. The moment you walk in the door you are greeted with a smile and the overall experience it great. The facility is clean, the environment is welcoming and positive, and the staff is quick and efficient and kind. I worked with Alexis on my last visit and she was awesome and I caught up with my good friend, Chuck, who frankly is a solid guy all around. The friendly staff and convenient scheduling make giving blood a breeze! Shepeard’s personnel, Lauren, sends me a personal text when it’s time for my next donation and arranges the appointment for me. Paris is extremely efficient and makes the whole process effortless. Great job guys!

I’ve typically had a really good experience at this location in comparison to the one downtown. You put out all of these calls on social media that you’re in desperate need of blood… I go when I have availability after getting numerous phone calls. I asked when I get there if there’s a wait time and I’m told no that they would be able to get to me immediately so I fill out my paperwork and I walk to the back where I then sit and wait for 45 minutes before anyone even attempts to check my hemoglobin or temperature. I have never had to wait so long…. Even when being told there was a wait.

All the staff is so friendly !! They have always taken such great care of me while donating! Make it painless as possible and have very convenient hours! Great selection of snacks/drinks for after your donation. The t-shirts they give as a thank you are very comfy and cute to wear. They really make you feel special and are very grateful for every dotation !! Love to donate, it’s such a great feeling to help someone !!

Got to say I was very disappointed in staff when I donated blood yesterday (10/20). Guy at front desk was aloof, never said hello or thank you. Woman who administered the blood donation seemed like she didn’t really care if I was there or not. When I left I said ‘thank you’ to staff – no reply from anyone. I was not offered a shirt. I know we are going through difficult times but a little common courtesy and some friendly interaction should not be too much to ask. In fairness I will say this is not typical of the staff I’ve seen on previous visits and I will continue to donate.
