I have a naturally high heart rate but it’s usually less than 100 or right around 100 and am able to donate. I went to donate for my 4th time and my pulse was 112. It’s hot and I had to walk a little to get to the bus. Sat there while they checked my hemoglobin and it was low. After warming my hands for a minute with the hot pack, my hemoglobin came up but the blood pressure cuff wouldn’t work the second and third time they tried. Took my pulse manually and it took her several times to find my pulse in either wrist and she manually counted and said it was 110 and only 4 minutes had passed from the first time. They didn’t give me a chance to sit and let it come down like they have in the past. She told me it would be different if I was an athlete

I am a universal donor with 20+ years of consistent donations. I attempted to donate with One Blood’s mobile unit. Throughout the donation, the phlebotomist moved/adjusted the needle. This was painful. After 20 mins, my flow was too slow and I missed the donation minimum by less than 10 grams. The supervisor told me my blood would be thrown out. I was never offered water, juice or a snack. The experience left me light headed and bruised.

Love when I have a chance to give blood with these guys (only have used the local mobile units). I started during covid as a healthy service adventure. I was super nervous after an experience with the bloodconnection when that staff bypassed my vein and drew the blood straight from my flesh lolol…was a very slow amd uncomfy process that left meended with the blackest scary softball sized lump in my arm. One blood helped me feel absolutely comfy and kept the needle from pulling against my thin skin and I hardly felt a thing. They made sure I stayed hydrated, gave me a snack and even gave me a blankie and gift card. So much fun and I felt warm snuggles after hehehe.

I have worked with one blood to set up a local drive at the school I work with and I have nothing but a glowing review to share. Daniel, who was our point of contact, was kind, honest and very thorough in regards to putting the blood drive into motion. The staff who was on the bus taking donations was very professional, easy to talk with and timely. We received a lot of positive feedback from the students and staff that donated their blood. The blood that was used was sent locally here in Greenville. Those that donated received an email stating where their blood was donated and the email specifically stated which local hospitals used the donations. We feel very happy with our partnership through One Blood. I would highly suggest this organization for any blood drives that you’re curious about putting into motion. The pandemic has caused a nationwide shortage of blood and our local communities are in major need of these resources! One blood also donated supplies to a food and blanket drive that our school was hosting for the Greenville Humane Society. We feel honored to have this connection.

I would seriously give them no stars if I could. The ONLY good thing I can say about this company is the bubbly lady that actually stuck me. She was very polite and made me feel comfortable. I think her name was Jane? She was so sweet and funny! The other people on that bus were sticks in the mud, did not interact with me at all, were talking amongst themselves and of ALL things, talking about being gay and how they were proud! Listen, im not against lifestyles but I don’t need to know about your lesbian or gay life behind closed doors! There’s a time and place for that kind of conversation and infront of patients… IS NOT ONE OF THEM! Very unprofessional and not appreciated at all.

The recruiter Ben was busy talking loudly about gossip when I tried to donate . Finally the lady that stuck me missed twice and left a massive bruise. Unprofessional and trashy. Apparently their blood doesn’t even help the Greenville community and it’s shipped to Florida! Avoid and donate TBC

DON’T APPLY HERE! They will make you do 3-4 interviews and an assessment, just to tell you that you have the skill set but you’re just not a great fit for the position! Very unprofessional. Lack of communication!

Super unprofessional, facilities are not clean, and they aren’t as nice as the people from The Blood Connection. They also don’t service any local hospitals in South Carolina.
