I enjoy donating blood – I know how important it is and I want to help others. My problem is that it is so inconvenient and time consuming. I use the app to schedule appointments, there is limited availability. I arrive a few minutes early, yet wait 20 minutes to be called. Screening is important so no complaints but it does take a while. Then I sit and wait to be poked and by now this process has taken almost 2 hours in total before I’m bandaged and allowed to leave. I have 3 kids and work full-time – getting a babysitter to donate blood costs about $30. Please make this process more efficient and streamlined.
