Great staff. Very friendly. If read most of the negative reviews it be good to take into consideration that these people are not medical professionals and have little understanding of what plasma donation entails. There are certain standards that must be upheld and the team at this location is continually working to meet and exceed those standards. Training is a very rigorously and detailed process. Not to mention that pretty much every health care professional, yes doctors included get very little training on actually “poking you with needles” in school. It happens on the job. Yes some have better technical skills then others and if your veins are hard to find you probably found this out long before showing up to your first donation. Again very well trained staff. I’ve been a donor since 2006 and continue to see a hard working facility, constantly trying to improve the customer experience. The overall rating doesn’t do them justice. I wish more people with positive experiences would post. If they did the public would have much more accurate picture.

Great staff, very friendly, knowledgeable & professional. If someone is posting a bad review it’s because they were turned away for being sick, high blood pressure or a high pulse. Don’t believe everything that you read on the internet. I’ve been going here for over a year now & sure you may get someone that pokes through the vein, 1/1000 but whatever you still get paid for it. I’ve only been turned away twice high blood pressure & high pulse rate. I smoked & was drinking coffee before I went in. I’ve since quit smoking & have had no issues!

I had the worst experience, it took about 3 hrs for them to do the process. After the lengthy wait, they finally extracted some plasma from my arm. The lady that put the needle in my armwas new, so she put the needle in too deep. They had to stop the machine, because it slowed down the extraction process. The lady was nervous so she had to call another staff member. They wiggled the needle around in my arm which was very painful. They preceded to tell me that it wouldwork better in my other arm, so I allowed them to do it. The new staff member, directed the original staff member to help other patients. The new staff member put the needle in my other arm wrong, and stated that she shouldn’t have done that. At the moment she messed up, she said, “Your veins are too small.” I called my longtime doctor and his exact words was, “That’s a load of crap.” Not only does BioLife extract plasma, they perform acupuncture as well. I will never go back and I don’t recommend the one on Broodmoor. If you plan on donating I strongly suggest Walker or the Grandville locations.

I transferred to Walker because it was closer but it was a great change. I have been selling plasma for about 6 years and honestly i have good veins and have only been hurt once where i obtained a bruise i didnt find the staff to be rude they were friendly talked alot with me about anything and know me by name…its not great being hooked up to a needle always have gotten paid if they poke you they have to pay you by law and they do hire by a process not just anyone willing to train…all fields have a speedy training process..medical assistant, dental, tech, i went to everest and the first day we were practicing poking each other biolife doesnt just grab people off the street and throw them in thats just dumb anyone would think that if you have had a bad experience at kentwood location go to walker I LOVE IT!

I have donated plasma off and on for well over a decade and although I would prefer the walker location the difference in distance takes me to broadmoor if you are thinking about donating you should understand that if you are haveing someone stab you there are risks both locations are 10 times as good as they were 10 yrs. Ago both have friendly personel and keep in mind if you get a person who’s having problems you can request someone else but be nice if your an ass they will follow your lead just like anything and anyone else

Been donating plasma since February and I have been turned away twice. one was for the technician poking thru my vein and giving me a hematoma and I went back three days later and they turned me away because my arm was black and blue from the last donation. The tech never got reprimanded or written up for it. Went back today and they turned me away again because my raspy, hoarse voice wasn’t normal enough for them. I told them this is my voice and this is normal and the nurse and I got into it and she said that I have a case of laryngitis. she is not a dr. or any thing and she is trying to diagnose me with a condition I don’t have. If that was the case I have laryngitis for 28yrs then I am sicker then a dog every day of my life! the management there are so rude and the don’t care about your well being they wont let you talk or explain any thing to them. they should be paying the person if they send you away for time and gas but they are so inconsiderate and rude to people at this location. I will not be going back to this location ever again

I have always had a good experience donating. Everybody there is kind and helpful. I usually prepare for a painful poke but the trained professionals have the poke done before can feel it! Great job bio life!!
