My Fiancé Joshua Wofford is here right now as I leave this review. They have him sitting here waiting to get a replacement card for over 30 minutes! And that’s just the start! They were giving him the runaround FOR NO REASON! He stayed polite about it and that’s y I have to say something because that’s not fair nor right. He told me if Ms Lisa was there none of this would have happen at all! She’s on point with her customer service. Blood is all on his arm! Here is a pic!

Terrible experience. I went yesterday for my physical and first donation. There aren’t any clear signs or directions of what to do. Someone from the front desk just yelled out to me “is this your first time?” Followed by “did you make an appointment?”. I was about 10 minutes early so I was seated on the side. It took about 1 hr to finally be checked in by someone. Then I was “given priority” as a first time donor to be screened. After that I had to do a questionnaire on a computer. That took about 10 minutes (very thorough and repetitive, but understandable). After the survey I was taken to a room to get my physical. Everything was fine until I was asked about the last time I ate and what I ate. Similar to another review on here; I had a smoothie (I got a large green smoothie with protein) an apple and a banana. I was told that would not be enough. I was offered snacks and told I would also need to drink a protein shake (ensure). I’m dairy free, and all the snacks they offered contained milk. So I was told to go home and return the next day. I was there for about 1hr 30 total after driving up for an hour from Alexandria.

All the staff are usually nice and accommodating. A few I won’t let stick me anymore, but the seasoned workers really know what they are doing. One tech in particular always seems to want to rip out my needle like she is playing Beyblades or shooting the ball in a pinball machine. But she is still my favorite face mask to see when I go lol.

I want to shoutout the staff of this location. Everyone I spoke to and encountered was extremely kind, welcoming, and attentive. They do seem to be short-staffed, or at least not have as many employees as they could have, but the people themselves are all great and I appreciate them a lot. I was a little intimidated for my first time but they took all of those worries away quickly. I have worked as a nurse before so I am familiar with the procedures associated with drawing blood, the staff all performed perfectly with good hygiene practices.

The staff here were excellent! Despite the wait, I was able to get a physical and give plasma in the same day. The nurse on site was able to answer all of my questions and concerns after taking their questionnaire. And when I was giving plasma, the staff frequently checked on me to make sure I was feeling okay. The staff does recommend coming at an earlier time in the day to make sure the process for you goes smoothly. Definitely take your time to recover after you give plasma!

Under staffed and as result it takes over 3 hours to make a standard donation. No one opens up as many stations as needed to get donors taken care of and they don’t change out their gloves after picking supplies up off the floor

This is a repost of what another donor submitted, but i agree 100%. It’s almost not worth coming, and everyone sitting here in this waiting room with me right now agrees. Why are the appointments so close? Why must the employees socialize so much? Why do we have to wait another 20-30 minutes to get hooked up after waiting an hour to get a chair. Very frustrating….

The guy of Latino descent started nice. However, when I told him I had a smoothie within 30 minutes of coming in he said that was not enough which was fine. However, it was a nice nasty tone when I was trying to explain I had more than a smoothie less than three hours. The smoothie was just the last thing I had. I was more mad at his tone and being dismissed than not being able to donate. Never that pressed for an extra couple of dollars to be spoke to in an aggressive tone. If you need the cash I say go on the website and follow the proper protocol as I did not; Don’t give them a reason to want to turn you around because trust me they are looking to eliminate the crowd. I hope this helps someone.

Customer service is non existent and no clear signs for first time donors. You cant be down bad enough to do this to make money. Probably gonna get the same generic answer on this review too.
