This place is 100% better then I thought it would be. The waits can be really bad. My only complaint is that it is not really up to ADA standards. There is no where to sit in the long lines so sometimes I must leave. Other then that most everyone is really nice and helpful.

I have been turned away TWICE from this location for various reasons. I was turned away because I was not a current donor and I came 15 minutes past the “cutoff” for new patients to be seen (3 hours prior to closing they will NOT see new donors). The second time I was turned away because I was “required to setup an appointment to become a new donor” and that “our location does NOT support making appointments through the CSL app, you MUST call us”. While I was waiting, the phone kept ringing and no one would pick up anyway so there is no way to actually make an appointment with this location. I am beyond frustrated and will be going to another location from now on. The Allentown location is willing to let us walk in any time to become a donor. Who is running this location?

Excellent donation experience. Everyone is friendly and efficient. Sometimes the wait is really long, but the staff remain pleasant.

Made an appointment on the app as a first time donor in the morning since they won’t take new donors after 1pm. Walked in only to be told they don’t support the app. Trying to get in to donate for new donors is beyond frustrating and this location makes it as inconvenient as possible.

Coming here isn’t bad, every employee is different and when you come here enough you’ll know who to avoid. I mean, these people probably don’t get paid enough but watch them work and it’ll make sense. Some of the woman are really good at putting a needle in you, some are absolutely horrible and should be avoided. Everyone is really nice except for when one of the girls mess up and all of a sudden it’s your fault. Like they weren’t gossiping in the corner while 5 people have their hands up

Everytime I have donated to this establishment, I have had an enjoyable experience. They give you very clear instructions, and the staff is extremely helpful, I am going to continue to donate here.

Everyone here is kind and professional, they get the job done. That said, there’s a severe issue, it’s a recurring theme in other reviews. I’m not sure if it’s simply numbers, or training, or management, but the waits are insane. There’s only so many beds and machines, that’s gonna be a limiting factor, okay, that’s fine, but the last couple times I came here, the line to get screened before the line to get in was over a dozen people long. And dragging very slow for what is ultimately a very quick process. I’ve only ever seen 2 screening booths out of the 7 in use at any given time. Again, sometimes there’s unexpected demand you can’t prepare for, that’s fine every now and then. But when it’s a severe backup, and there are 2 or 3 other employees standing around chatting/gossipping and the like standing around the screening area doing nothing in particular, it gets frustrating when you’ve been in that line for 30 mins. One time I had to go over medical to be asked one simple question, that had been handled on the last visit. No one came over for more than half an hour, allowing a whole 10 people to cut in front of me in the waiting line in the meantime, while I waited to give the same details as before to answer a single question. That question and 20-30 min wait set me back effectively an extra hour and a half to 2 hours, I ended up just leaving. It’s barely worth these wait times for the new donor payouts, if it stays this bad, I can’t imagine ever coming back after my first month promo rate runs out.
