Lady at the counter was very rude to me this morning. EDIT: The rest of my visit was excellent and the team was great. I won’t let one person bring my day down. Maybe it was a bad day for that person… I know I’ve had some hard days lately.

The entire reason that I quit going was because of a couple bad experiences and I hadn’t even got to my 3rd visit but I am going to make an appointment with them and if I experience the rudeness I will just find someone who can help me and the reason for my erratic bp was when I was called up to her booth I think it is a pleasure to help people who need it but I hate it being ruined due to bad attitudes we all have bad days don’t have to take it out on their patients nor anyone else for that matter!! Praying for a Better experience

Be prepared to be in there for hours. There is no sense of urgency. If you pay attention most not all don’t even want to do their job. It’s like they try their best to defer you anyway possible. I was deferred on a Sunday for a legit reason. I didn’t have a problem with that but I had a small bruise on my arm which was fine originally. Come back the next day and they deferred me for the bruise and gave me some reason but the only reason it was there was because someone new didn’t stick the needle in my arm right. That’s the only time a bruise ever pops up. But there’s no communication there, it’s always a really long wait, and most seem to hate their job. I used to go to the Johnson city one and it was fine. Kingsport is totally opposite. I gave two instead of one because 3 of the workers actually seem to care.

Everyone here is very nice and very respectful. They make you feel at home while you are there donating. Glad tvs were turned off as well, I would rather listen to music just like in the dentist or drs office.

I had donated at the old Johnson City location. They was top of the line workers and clean facilities. Then you had to close them down without giving them the option to transfer. Big mistake for the company because you lost some of the best I have seen. I now have been moved to Kingsport. What a complete opposite. There is about one hard worker there. The floor supervisor bald man is about worthless. He would rather watch Tv or talk than to hook somebody up or look right at you when you are completed then just walk away. For the most part yea they are working but even if you are short staffed you can still move faster than a slug. I would rather not donate then spend hours at a time watching my people talk and socialize than do their job. I really try hard not to leave bad reviews but this is place is beyond ridiculous. Good thing they aren’t servers. Today alone I waited over an hour just to get back and then couldn’t even stay because once your hooked up you can go ahead and say you will be there for another 1.5 hours because even though you may give in say 40 min you will sit the rest. I try to hurry my donation so I can get out and that leaves them one more bed open.

All of the employees do a great job! It’s nice when you walk in and they know who you are and acknowledge you.

Today marked my 6th visit being back as a returning donor. I have been able to only donate once. My first visit I was turned away while they got my legacy information switched over. Which was the second time that happened now. Instead of it taking 5-7 days it took 3 weeks to hear back. Second visit I had to redo everything from the first visit. This was the only successful visit for me. Every time I go in now I’m being deffered for the day due to a “high” pulse. Do they even want living donors or only dead people can donate? Anyway today was the 6th try and still unsuccessful. I just don’t have it in me anymore to go back again.

Did my first donation ever here. I was slightly dehydrated the day before so I had to make an appointment for the next day. I set my appointment for 7am but when I arrived, there was a line at the door and no employees other than the security officer were there. They didn’t write down my appointment on the list security had so he wouldn’t let me in even though it was 15 minutes after my appointment. Finally they decided to let everyone in appointment or not because of the cold outside and I told the ladies at the front desk and they got me taken care of quickly. Drink at least 64 oz of water the day before and make sure you’re hydrated and have had a good protein filled meal a minimum of 3 hours or less before donation or you will feel sick since plasma is 90% water and it’s not great donating on a empty stomach!
