Great staff, they always make me feel welcome and comfortable. They’re very patient and reassuring of anyone who may be nervous. Great place for anyone to donate

*Updated: Customer support has reached out and seems interested in improving the experience for neurodivergent donors. The actual blood donation process went well and he did do well despite his initial anxiety. I’ve modified my review accordingly and will visit this location again since this seems like it may have been an anomalous occurrence. I look forward to being able to update again with a full 5 stars after the next visit.

Appointments and masks are required here. Those that are fully vaccinated do not have to wear a mask during their donation.

If I could put 0 stars I would. It was my very first time at this facility and I’ve never felt so unwanted at a place in my life. The lady I had was Gracie. Gracie had a terrible attitude, did not smile once while I was there, judging my decision to even donate platelets because I haven’t donated at that facility before. She is highly inexperienced and I could tell. Her coworker asked her why she was taking her jacket off and she said she was about to do a stick and her coworker said, “oh you’re getting brave!” It was then I should’ve gotten someone else or just left. I had been stuck many times by new phlebotomists before and they did amazing. I don’t know who let this woman pass her phlebotomy course.

You should learn how to have someone at the front desk. Walk in at 12:15 , make eye contact with 3 people, get ignored. I walked out at 12:20. Guess you don’t need B+ blood as bad as you claim. I’ve never had a good experience on a Friday at a Red Cross.

I went to give blood, signed in and waited for 40 minutes only to be told by 2 nurses they would be with me shortly then 15 mins later the head person says we arent taking anymore walkins. After sitting there for 40 mins i wasnt a walkin. She was awful and they are not on the same page. I gave my time and was trying to donate. They dont have to worry about me coming in the future when they couldnt care anyless about my time.

I get calls from the Red Cross daily (sometimes multiple times daily). I’ve asked to be removed from their list and they keep calling. I donate and they call me the next day. I’m done. Next time I donate it will be to a different organization and they will not be getting my contact info.
