I am 35 yrs old and have never successfully been able to donate. My blood usually clots at the very end of the donation cycle. Today, however, the odds were in my favor. Today I successfully donated for the first time!!! I have to contribute a large part of that to the staff we had on the Blood Bus at the Dr. Phillips Center today! Chelsea, Belkis and Alexis were phenomenal. They obviously had no control over whether my blood clotted or not BUT my blood pressure was elevated and my pulse was high for rushing to make my appointment in time. They were so accommodating and patient and funny! They made the experience so personable and relaxing. My BP and heart rate eventually went down and was able to complete my donation! Huge shoutout to them!! If I could go see them every time I would! Thanks again ladies!

I have stopped at the Big Red Bus four times over the last 6 months. In every case, the Big Red Bus had some sort of difficulty that stopped me from donating. Just today the BRB was at Casselberry outside Planet Fitness. After my workout, I went in to donate. I was told that the bus’s generator failed and no collections could take place. I noticed there were plenty of signs announcing “donate blood today”. Why were those signs up if blood donation was not possible? Answer: One Blood is a third rate organization that will lose support among the populace.

This is the best blood donation center in Florida. The phlebotomist, Betty and Crystal are personable, friendly, professional and take great care in minimizing the discomfort of your donation. We keep coming back and donating because of their expertise and compassion. Would definitely recommend this center!
