I have personally been able to get to 60 gallons total because of the great service here. From Karen and Tamara the recruiters to Mr. T and the newest supervisor Micah (sp?) with all of the great phlebotomists. Jake -Phil- Hoa- Jessica- Marc – Kwai plus many more. They helped me reach my human potential. ZERO Complaints!

It was my first time donating blood and it was horrible when I arrived they couldn’t find my name, took a long time to find my appointment after 30 minutes one of the women check me in at the computer it was nothing professional the whole time she had her head phones with the music quite loud and I had to repeat the answers several times and she didn’t know how to register me after 30 minutes she call someone else to help her with my regitration later on I was finally passed to the donation room the woman had nothing ready and she threw everything reluctantly she was very rude no manners she speaks Spanish then she leave me alone and then my blood bag fills up and I had a lot of pain in my arm and another person came to help me and when she came she tried to lower the chair a bit where I was and almost threw me off the chair it made it horrible I hate that experience and I don’t want to go back to that place again.

They completely wasted my time! I wanted to donate blood, I did all the necessary steps, and read all the instructions. When I got there, I had my two boys with me. We were all masked, and our temperatures were cleared. I filled out their 20min questionnaire. Then waited another 30mins for my turn. When it was my turn a staff person said my children could not be there and then suggested they wait in the car in 90° heat. So annoyed! I had wasted nearly an hour there and no one said my kids couldn’t be there. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the receptionist Louise was very friendly. Everyone else, completely unprofessional!

Wasted my time here. Made an appointment, completed my pass online. Got there on time to be ignored for the first 10 minutes of standing in the entry where the sign tells you to wait. Finally the woman comes over and tells me it’ll be a 2 hour wait! They are behind! Did they take walk ins? Did they overbook? I don’t know. I will never donate here again. Last time I was in 2 months ago an amateur took my blood and I still have a mark on my arm! They claim to have a severe shortage of blood but they aren’t working as hard as I am to solve the problem. I will continue to do Vitalant drives when they’re in my neck of the woods though. But that’s not often enough. They run the show like clockwork though!

I had the same experience as another reviewer. Made an appointment for whole blood donation, showed up on time, and was encouraged to reschedule due to understaffing. The people I talked to were very kind and apologetic. They gave me a free T-shirt, though I feel like a fraud since I didn’t get poked. With all the messages about the “critical need for blood”, it seems its not a critical need for donors, rather their capacity to take donations, at least here. I’m trying a different location tomorrow.

Went here recently for a donation. My appt was at the end of the day, I didnt get into my chair for the draw until1 hr 15 min later. I was on time for my appt and wasn’t screened until 45 min later. Granted there may have been a good reason for this but since most people are busy and donating in their spare time, setting aside 4-5 hrs doesn’t seem feasible during the work week. If you want to donate here, do so on your days off. I would have appreciated a call beforehand letting me know that they were running behind so we could reschedule if needed. I’m not sure if this is a regular occurrence and even the employees looked tired. The facility was clean, employees were friendly enough and snacks were plentiful.

When I was at American red cross this past week. I was dishonor by the staff this past Tuesday evening. They have lost three nurses that day. And I was very late in given blood that evening. And when I waiting for running tests with me they didn’t have everything together. If you are going to American red cross this morning or this week or weekend expect a long wait or few nurses

I donate at the Red Cross because I believe in donating blood. I’ve been doing it for over 40 years. But the focus of the organization has shifted. Now it spends more on marketing and overhead costs, and the mission has suffered. The workers and volunteers are great. It is the management I am not happy about.
