My experience donating platelets and red blood cells yesterday at the LifeServe Blood Center was AWESOME! From the moment I stepped in the door, I felt welcome and I knew my time and donation was valuable to them. One thing that’s really neat is a board above the desk shows what they need most (blood/plasma/platelets, etc) and which blood type they need it from. The Rockstar that helped me was Estela. She was extremely professional and practiced extreme hygiene and cleaning protocols. She made sure I was comfortable and that I didn’t have any pain, and set me up with a tablet to watch Hulu while I donated. Everything went smoothly and she checked in on me regularly to make sure I didn’t need anything. What was most obvious and important to me as a donor, besides how effective and efficient she is at her job, was that she cared about me as a person and took the time to genuinely thank me for donating and answered all of my questions. She encouraged me to come back and I will…not because it’s the right thing to do, but because of the experience Estela and the rest of the team gave me while I was there. Thank you for what you do!

They have the greatest people here, they all know what they’re doing, when it came to the finger poke I didn’t even feel it… They take good care of you and make sure you are good and ready before they let you leave… Definitely the best place to give blood
