The staff is always so friendly and reassuring! This is a great place to go and make a difference in someone’s life by donating! Harry the Hemoglobin can be seen around the area if you are lucky lol

I donated a few months back and at first the pavilion was very welcoming and everyone in the front end that i had encountered was decent, up until I was donating. We had to have some kind of supervisor come over for an issue my tech was having with placing the needle. The supervisor must have been going through a rough life because her attitude towards me was very bitter, and she was a jerk when i asked a simple question about the situation. Hope she doesn’t work there anymore; I’ve been avoiding giving blood at this location because of that person.

These females will hang up on you when you ask a question. I will never be back to a south Texas donor spot. Good bye and you will never have my business again.

Always try and donate platelets at least once per month. Great team of phlebotomists!

My husband went in to donate blood but that place was a disaster he had an appointment but he waited almost 1 and a half before they started helping other people and skipped him completely. People were very rude starting with the lady that signs you in. You need people that care in this place we are donating blood not asking for welfare. We are not a third world country!

I’ve been a donor for 20+ years but this last 6 months or so (mid 2020-early 2021) of donating at the Pavilion has been simply unpleasant. Except for a couple people, most of the staff I have engaged with have consistently been unprofessional and inconsiderate.

The technicians are very friendly and sweet but for the second consecutive time I had a not so pleasing donation experience. I will continue donating but I think south Texas Blood & tissue center should make a better job training the technicians. If donors have bad experiences wouldn’t this keep them from donating again? wouldn’t such bad experiences cause those donors to discourage their family members from donating?
