Excellent location to donate blood — staff are professional and efficient, the space is clean and organized with modern equipment, and the snack options are a bit better than what you might find inside the typical bloodmobile (and lets be honest, that’s really why we’re all here ) Conveniently located a few blocks from BART for those of us traveling from the East Bay (where, for whatever ridiculous reason, there are NO permanent donation centers…); I will definitely choose this location the next time I get the call or text to “save a life” with a donation…

This is the first time I’ve ever reviewed anything on Google, but the AWFUL service here warranted a review. I don’t think it’s possible to give 0 stars so I gave 1 star. I arrived on time for my appointment at 12:15pm with the impression that I would be done donating by 12:45pm at the very latest (they said it would take 10 mins in the email). The staff moved at a lethargic pace and managed maybe two donors an hour. At 1:15pm, I WAS STILL WAITING. I finally just got so fed up I left without donating, an hour of my time WASTED.

Why does your phone line not work? I called, was placed on hold and after 5 in the line goes silent until it eventually hangs up on me. I tried again, opting for the call back option. Someone called me, then transferred me to the exact line I had already tried where it asked me to leave my number for a call back. Your system goes around and around in circles, never actually getting people to a live operator.

The staff are incredibly friendly and gentle. There are usually warm cookies and snacks provided. Be sure to bring a sweater because the room needs to be on the cooler side. Though, if you forget a sweater (or other layers) the staff are prepared with blankets and warm items (like sand-filled towels).
